# MonegAI - full text for language models Source: https://monegai.com/ Plain text extraction of the public pages, intended for retrieval and quoting. Update date: 2026-10-17. Note on claims: everything below describes software that exists today. Where MonegAI is not better than a competitor, that is stated rather than hidden. ================================================================================ PAGE 1 of 5 - https://monegai.com/ (landing) ================================================================================ Title: MonegAI - the browser that answers Tagline: Silence. Light. Discretion. HEADLINE A browser that answers. Most browsers hand you ten blue links and wish you luck. MonegAI reads the question, runs the answer on your own machine, and keeps a ledger of every tracker that knocked. Buttons: Get MonegAI | See what it does SECTION - The three claims "Everything happens on this machine." 01 Answers, not links Ask in plain language. A local model reads the tab you are on and returns an answer, a brief or a plan - nothing is sent anywhere unless you deliberately switch to a cloud key. 02 Four separate people Personal, Banking, Shopping and Work each live in their own storage partition with their own hardened session. A shop cannot read your bank. Ever. 03 A ledger, not a vibe The Shield counts canvas and audio probes per site and shows you the number. No marketing language about "protection" - just what actually happened, on your disk. SECTION - Zero interface "It does not shout at you." MonegAI opens on a blank canvas with your greeting and nothing else. The interface pours in only when you reach for it, ask a question, or speak. Every browser control - navigation, zoom, find, history, bookmarks, downloads - waits inside a single jewel until you want it. No toolbar theatre. No pinned tabs. No notification badges. Nothing is restored behind your back unless you asked for it. SECTION - Closing call One installer. No account required. ================================================================================ PAGE 2 of 5 - https://monegai.com/features.html ================================================================================ Title: Features - MonegAI "No roadmap, no wishlist. This is the software as it ships today." ALL twenty-four FEATURES 01 Local-first AI concierge A question typed into the bar is answered in writing, with the page you are reading as context. You choose whether the answer comes from your own machine or from a service you name yourself. 02 Intent-aware answers The answer is shaped to what you actually meant - a private jet, an off-market villa, a charter, an auction, plain travel - instead of handing back a list of links. 03 Four isolated identities Personal, Banking, Shopping and Work. Each keeps its own cookies, its own cache and its own history, and moving between them is instant and complete. 04 Ghost Mode One switch removes the identifying details a device would otherwise hand out. The protection state, the connection type and the number of requests stopped are always on display. 05 Shield ledger Every attempt a page makes to read your device is counted and attributed to that site: how many, which kind, and on which page. Nothing about it is sent anywhere. 06 Consented memory Off until you ask for it. A preference you explicitly save is kept as one durable line that you can read, edit item by item, or erase entirely. 07 Session restore Tabs, titles, the page you actually reached and the tab you were looking at all return when you relaunch. Your own internal pages are never restored. 08 History Every page you visit is recorded, including while the interface is closed. Five hundred entries, each with its host, title and time, each removable on its own. 09 Bookmarks Star any page. One click saves the live title and address, duplicates are refused, and a panel lists them all for reopening or removal. 10 Downloads Each identity watches for its own downloads, asks where to save, and reports live progress with a state per file: progressing, done, cancelled or interrupted. A finished file opens in its folder in one click. 11 Find in page Ctrl+F from anywhere. Matches are highlighted, the count comes from the page itself, and Enter or the arrows walk the results and wrap around. Escape clears the selection. 12 Per-tab zoom Ctrl + and Ctrl − step the active tab in 25 % increments between 50 % and 300 %; Ctrl+0 returns it to 100 %. Every tab keeps its own level. 13 Reader One command turns the page into a clean article - title, byline, paragraphs - with a three-sentence brief at the top. No service, no tracking pixel. 14 Documents and PDFs Open a document, or drop one onto the bar. Its text is read on this machine and turned into a short brief with the key figures called out. The file itself is never uploaded. 15 Voice Press the microphone and speak; the transcript is written for you and sent as your question. Two sizes are offered, Tiny and Base. The microphone is granted for audio only - the camera is refused, and the refusal cannot be talked around. 16 Meta-search Mix queries every engine at once and merges the answers into one clean list. Or choose a single engine and its results open as an ordinary page. Your choice is remembered between sessions. 17 Daily briefing Weather for the places you nominate and prices for the symbols you follow, resting quietly under your greeting until you ask for a refresh. 18 Command palette Ctrl+K puts every action in one keyboard-first list: open a tab, read the page, ask a question, toggle protection, switch finish, wipe memory. 19 Replayable onboarding The three-step first-launch ritual - language, home base, intelligence - is not a one-time gate. Run it again whenever you want to change your mind. 20 Sandboxed guests Every page runs apart from the rest. It cannot reach the browser's own functions, and receives only a small, reviewed set of actions of its own. 21 Deny by default Geolocation, notifications, camera, MIDI, pointer lock and fullscreen are refused outright. The rule is an allow-list rather than a deny-list, so anything not explicitly wanted stays closed. 22 Clear everything One action clears cookies, cache, local storage, indexed data, service workers and the remaining caches for the session you are in. Nothing is kept and nothing leaves the machine. 23 Two finishes Obsidian and Alabaster, built from the same set of values the browser itself uses. Reduced motion and sound switch off independently, and both choices are remembered. 24 Four languages English, Italiano, Francais and Munegascu. The interface ships in all four, chosen during onboarding and changeable at any time. ================================================================================ PAGE 2 continued - honest comparison ================================================================================ "Where MonegAI differs." Read this as a starting point, not gospel. Firefox in particular is a serious project and gets several of these right already - MonegAI's difference is that the AI, the reader, the ledger and the concierge live in the same window as the browsing. CAPABILITY / MONEGAI / CHROME-EDGE / FIREFOX / BRAVE / SAFARI AI answers questions on-device by default MonegAI: Yes | Chrome/Edge: Cloud only | Firefox: Add-on or cloud Brave: Add-on or cloud | Safari: Cloud only Built-in isolated identities or containers MonegAI: 4, one click | Chrome/Edge: Profiles | Firefox: Containers Brave: Profiles | Safari: Profiles Fingerprint attempts counted per site MonegAI: Yes, local ledger | Chrome/Edge: No | Firefox: No Brave: Yes, opt-in | Safari: No Reader plus local summary built in MonegAI: Yes | Chrome/Edge: No | Firefox: Reader mode only Brave: No | Safari: No Local document and PDF summarisation MonegAI: Yes | Chrome/Edge: No | Firefox: No | Brave: No | Safari: No On-device voice transcription MonegAI: Yes, Whisper | Chrome/Edge: Cloud | Firefox: Add-on Brave: Add-on | Safari: Yes, limited Opt-in memory you can read and edit MonegAI: Yes | all others: No Zero interface until asked MonegAI: Yes | all others: No Changeable search engine, any engine MonegAI: Yes | Chrome/Edge: Yes | Firefox: Yes | Brave: Yes Safari: Restricted Open source MonegAI: Yes | Chrome/Edge: No | Firefox: Yes | Brave: Yes | Safari: No Note: "Cloud only" means the feature works but the prompt has to leave your machine. Where a browser can do the job locally, that is a genuine difference; where it cannot, the honest answer is that it is a trade-off, not a win. ================================================================================ PAGE 3 of 5 - https://monegai.com/download.html ================================================================================ Title: Download - MonegAI "One installer. Nothing else." No account, no sign-in, no telemetry. The first launch asks three questions and then gets out of the way. AVAILABLE BUILDS - Windows x64 - NSIS installer - recommended - Windows x64 - portable ZIP, no installer - macOS universal - Apple silicon and Intel - DMG - Linux x86_64 - AppImage Note for operators: on the live site each download button is enabled only when its file is actually present in the downloads directory; the page verifies with a HEAD request and otherwise shows "Not published yet". CHECKSUMS If a SHA256SUMS.txt file is published, its contents are displayed on the page verbatim so a visitor can compare against their own hash. REQUIREMENTS - Operating system: Windows 10+, macOS 12+, or a current Linux desktop - Memory: 8 GB recommended for the local model - Disk: about 600 MB plus your chosen model file - Network: optional - the browser works fully offline - AI model: bring your own GGUF, or add one later in Settings - Account: not required, not used, there is no server DISTRIBUTION NOTICE MonegAI is distributed as-is, without warranty. Review the binary before you run it, and keep a backup of anything you would miss. ================================================================================ PAGE 4 of 5 - https://monegai.com/contact.html ================================================================================ Title: Contact - MonegAI "Say something." Support, a security report, a press question or a partnership. DIRECT EMAIL hello@monegai.com security@monegai.com RESPONSE Two working days, Monday to Friday. Security reports are triaged first and acknowledged within a few hours. BEFORE YOU WRITE Include the version. The version string is in Settings, bottom of the panel. It turns a guessing game into a two-minute fix. PRIVACY Nothing about your browsing. MonegAI has no server to send it to. An email is an email, and we answer it and move on. ================================================================================ PAGE 5 of 5 - https://monegai.com/legal.html ================================================================================ Title: Legal - MonegAI "The short version." MonegAI is desktop software, not a service. There is no backend to send anything to. This page states that in full, because the claim is only worth something if it is written down. 01 WHAT WE COLLECT Nothing about your browsing. The website sets no cookies, runs no analytics, and loads no third-party script. A browser's own request log is the only record that a page was fetched. 02 WHAT THE APPLICATION STORES History, bookmarks, downloads and preferences are written to plain files in the user's own user-data folder. They never leave the machine. Clearing them is one action in Settings. 03 THE AI MODELS Answers are generated on the user's own hardware. MonegAI ships no model and contacts no model provider. If the user supplies a cloud API key in Settings, that request goes from their machine to the provider they named, under that provider's terms, and nowhere else. 04 WEB PAGES VISITED A browser must reach the sites the user requests. Those sites see the IP address and whatever the page requests, as with any browser. MonegAI cannot change that and does not pretend otherwise; identity partitions keep such sessions apart. 05 PAYMENTS None. MonegAI is free and open source. Nothing on the site can buy anything and no card details are ever requested. 06 WARRANTY Distributed as-is, without warranty of any kind. Review the binary before running it and keep a backup of anything you would miss. 07 SECURITY REPORTS Responsible disclosure is welcome and acknowledged, normally within a few hours.
